Haha...when has an accidental shooting been this hilarious? I feel bad for everyone involved, but man....
Since the poor guy is now OK, this is a great story just for laughs, even the White House press corps' over-reaction. We now know the Bush administration's latest solution for too many 78-year-olds on social security. Is this guy a torts lawyer. If so, two birds with one shot.
Brendan: Couldn't agree more. I mean, it's funny and I'm certainly not above making a crack about it, but none of this is a real news story.
Ed: Two birds? Maybe even more than that. I doubt Scalia's going to be taking any more hunting trips with him. No more conflict of interest there...
I honestly couldn't believe the amount of press coverage this story got. For Christ's sake, hunting accidents happen all the time. My question is why in the world the dude who was shot was even in range of Cheney's shot? Anyone who's been hunting more than a few times knows to stay the hell away from the range of shot when someone's aiming to shoot.
