Sign that Law School Is Eating My Brain No. 298

I gave the First Reading at Grandpa Cislo's funeral on Monday. Speaking in front of the entire Nardinger Clan didn't make me nervous, nor did reciting the first half of the passage by memory, but the fear of accidentally saying "May it please the Court" instead of "A reading from the book of Eclesiastes" sure as hell did.

I need to get out of this God forsaken place.

Hahaha...I know what you mean. Whenever I'm speaking to someone in a position of authority, I have to fight the urge to call them "mr./mrs. speaker."

Sorry to hear about your grandfather. It's never easy dealing with difficult life issues, especially during this time of year.

Minnesota wins moot court competitions because they keep clowns like me off the teams.

Thanks, I appreciate that. Coulda been worse though. It could have come two weeks from now right in the thick of things.

I've referred to total strangers as "your honor" before.

Lame.
