The European Space Agency has announced that it will smash its SMART-1 spacecraft into the moon this coming September, just to see "what happens." Not to be out done, NASA now plans to shove a handful of lit Black Cats into the Hubble telescope and throw it out the car window at Mars. I eagerly await the results of these fantastic scientific endeavors.

Our tax dollars at work. But hey, at least we'll get some neo-tang out of this, right?

These may not be the best uses of government money, but I'm very happy with my space program. At least when Nasa wastes my money, I get cool stuff like velcro, microwave ovens, satellite Tv and a reverse microaltimeter (whatever the hell that is).

When Congress wastes my money all I get is more paperwork to file.
